Eli Stock was approved on Monday night to become the next Boys Head Wrestling Coach. Stock takes over the role after serving as the head assistant in the program for the past three seasons. Stock, a 2017 Monrovia graduate, won state titles in football and wrestling as a student-athlete for the Bulldogs. He then wrestled collegiately at the University of Indianapolis before returning to his Monrovia roots. "Eli is a true Monrovian... bleeds green," said DJ Smith. "He has been incredibly instrumental in the success of the wrestling program and the tradition and expectations that come with being a Bulldog wrestler. He will do an excellent job taking the reins of this program." "I'm super excited to be named the Head Coach for this upcoming season. I took this position to grow the wrestling program into something that makes kids excited and proud to call Monrovia home," said Stock. "Our wrestlers will show up, work hard, and be DAWG tough as they continue to grow as student-athletes." The wrestling team is already back to work this summer as they leave for Oklahoma State Camp next weekend.
